i live in india and the education system here is shit . i dont have any? other option other than engineering or medical . this guy should give a lecture here , he’ll surely make education worth studying
I prefer the drawings, personally. I guess I’m just one? of those “creative and distracted kids,” and alive in the moment.
@lindorchocolate The purpose of language is to communicate. That’s all.
Communication is the act transferring ideas or thoughts from one person to another.
Now an essential part of communication is duplication. If you can’t get your idea received exactly as you meant it, you have at least the beginning of an argument, a result you didn’t expect or at worst a war.
So word definitions are much more important than any? other aspect of English in school and vital to effective communication.
@Archiesview to an extent English lacks this “purpose” as well. Most kids don’t see any reason to read poetry, or Shakespeare, or in analyzing the? hell out of books.
@AntiCuster if you listen? carefully he actually does , he states that teachers should move away from standardization . Instead of handing out standardized report cards and following a standard curriculum teachers should look after the needs of the individual child. Observe children routinely in order to find out their needs and weaknesses and provide them with activities that fit those needs or that will help them to reach the next developmental stage .
Nicely Done!?
this video made for those? who have already lost their imagination, and yet think they are clever by watching this, like me, oops.

@MrTayloreh Well dont get me wrong i have no intentions to lead or anything.. my goal is to democracy wich means no leaders at all.
Ppl will have to be in place to make a desicion. It sounds complicated with all these ppl to have to end up with a single desicion but no1 said it would be easy.
I have lots of ideas hmm if u want we can talk? to skype to make this abit more… direct.
i like how? there’s an adhd ad right next to it…:O
@rurounisld But it just takes persistence – immense change has happened through persistence and not giving up! Don’t let what other people are saying decide for you, or you’ll never feel freedom. Look what Nelson Mandela has done in his lifetime thus far! All people have the same inherent possibilities to get what they? want out of life (even if at times it does seem impossible). What makes you different than any hero who was just starting?
@Vaysm What are you on about? You must be a teacher. So what’s your plan? Teach them nothing in case you get it wrong. Kids are the future they are the ones currently making it change so fast. Cheez! man where are you??
@Archiesview The reason why children are not told why they are learning what they’re learning is simply because we don’t know yet.
The world is changing so fast? that we don’t know how to prepare them for the future.
@Minkcove?
maybe not none, but certainly not enough
I wouldn’t even consider it education really, it goes more along the lines of indoctrination. They try to mold children into a specific type of person fit? to perpetuate their economic model. The “education” children are getting is just sorting them to see which part of the machine they will fulfill.
@Minkcove It goes further than that too. Not only do they not say the purpose of the subject they never ask the kid for his ideas about how he could use the subject. Like if you knew how to count or do arithmatic what could you do with that knowledge? This is? all part of purpose. A person only properly learns things for which they can see a use for them. When you are lost in the bush, you only then wished you had learn about the position of the sun and stuff.
@Archiesview I didn’t watch this in its entirety, but would still like to say that absolutes are usually? inaccurate, ie, NO ONE. Really? Not one single teacher ever tells a student why they need to learn a skill or information? Ever? Not one?
@MrTayloreh yes internet gives us some hope but in international level most ppl would reply: i got my own problems,why should i care etc.
ive talked with many ppl from all over? the world recently mostly about proper thinking. In my little experience u can barely change the ppls choise to act in the wrong way.
Its strange when ppl do something that know its wrong and nothing good could come out of it.(im not talking about small things:cigares etc but more like rascism )
He had me up until the divergent thinking? part.. how can we be certain that we don’t just simply grow out of that? The brain changes a lot from childhood through to adult (obviously) and there is much more going on those first few years just to be able to learn to speak, walk, observe social norms, etc.. these thought processes will vary a lot from the responsibilities of an adult or even a teenager regardless of the conformity inherent in being a part of the education system or even society.
@rurounisld But? you’re expressing the injustice now to people like me from Canada just by responding to my comment! That’s fantastic! You have the tool of the internet to show people whats going on so that there’s more international pressure against these injustices.
@MrTayloreh well i cant accept it. Its been a while since ive started to talk with ppl and most of them feel powerless, u cant expect of them to take great desicions.
The gov made it very clear that the? ppl have no choise but to submit(in the last protests a man died)
None alone can accept responsibility of the whole country unless itsEu backed gov.
See egypt as an example if we mass protest the army will turn against the ppl that swore to protect..
@rurounisld In my opinion, everything is a choice. It is scary to truly take ones life in their hands, but its also extraordinary & positive. How do you honestly expect to make things better if you wait for some other time & place? If you truly? value life, why worry about death? IMO, either accept the present situation for what it is with an open heart, or stand up to it & transform it. Both choices are extraordinary and positive – Letting oneself be victim, be on the fence, isn’t.
thanks its? very though provoking
@Archiesview and? extent.I agree.
@yuionanodesuyo: How could my contention possibly be considered “invalid” due to my age?? It’s quite foolish to judge someone’s intelligence in such a way.
